Awe Yeah Asymmetry

I've been spying on all these asymmetrical skirts y'all ladies have been rockin'.
This skirt has been in my drawer for a while.
One time, I was trying to style it different ways while my roommate just laughed at me and told me to stop.  (Mini skirt, tube dress, belted tube dress?!)  I love the print, but it can be really ill fitting.  Super tight elastic on top, a weird seam about 10 inches after the too tight elastic, flowing down to an awkward length.
Skirt: DIY thrifted; Shoes: Blowfish; Top: thrifted; Necklace: thrifted; Purse: H&M
The other day while exploring blogs, I forgot who, but I read a post by a girl that "hemmed" a maxi skirt she got from a thrift store with safety pins.  "Genius" I thought.  Except I'm lacking safety pins.  So this fancy asymmetrical hem is held together by... duct tape. I liked how I just taped it 3 places and it flowed down like layers since it is such a full skirt.
Watch: gift from boyfriend; Rose Bracelet: My Etsy Store; Black Leather Braid Bracelet: Pandora
Super comfy, super easy.  And finally I'm in brighter clothing for summer!

Love yall lotsa lotsa,
Lydee
