Challenging Myself.

I've been here, there, and everywhere lately.
I attended the Wild Goose Festival a couple weeks ago and experienced a lot of inspiration.

How does one find style inspiration at a hip Jesus fest?  It was more about a style of thinking... Inspiring me to write on body image and now this.
I attended a discussion about body image as Christians.  It somehow turned into a talk about style challenges.  Women had done a variety of different ideas, sometimes even getting their friends and significant others involved.
6 articles of clothing for a month.  10 articles, 30 days.  Closet clean outs.  No purchases for 6 months.  No purchases for a year.

Every story teller ended with saying it was one of the smartest, best ideas they'd ever done.   While I sat there squirming inside my head.  I want to challenge myself, so I can better appreciate the clothing I have, but I wonder if I'd really be able to get through 3 months without wanting to at least go to a thrift store.
This is bad.  Shame on you, Lydee!  So for the rest of summer I'm going to be more inventive with my already existing closet, and hopefully it will result in myself doing a "real fashion challenge."
Shoes: c/o Big Buddha; Shirt: Wish Boutique; Shorts: DIY thrifted; Cardigan: Charlotte Russe; Purse: H&M; Necklace: Made by me- On Etsy!
Therefore, this new inventive attitude came out with something a little darker than my usual taste, but I needed to get this top out for daily use instead of just being a night out shirt.
Have any of you had experience with such things?  What worked best for you?
I hope everyone is having an awesome summer! I love y'all, I really do :)

  2. I haven't given myself a "challenge" yet, but I've wanted to too. I need to find something that really works for me and not just to do it. I can't wait to see what you try!
