Love Long Weekends

I have found my orange pants.  You cannot fathom my excitement to see how big of a role orange is playing this season in people's wardrobes (Sorry all orange hataz like my bro and sis, y'all gotta deal.)  I got these pants three years ago in Austin at a boutique called Strut,  it is a good Spring to be able to bring them out and still fit them. (Oh and I got to go to Strut again this weekend, yeeeehaw!)

I'm channeling my alter ego convict / pumpkin.

Cardigan: American Apparel; pants: Strut; Shoes: Blowfish; necklace: Charming Charlie; shirt: Forever 21
This weekend for me was spent in Austin with a couple of friends, visiting various family members who are in Austin/ the Austin area. Visiting with friends who haven't really explored Austin yet was an excuse to eat fried cookie dough from Torchy's Tacos.  Oh my, so good.

When I was googling the correct way to say convict, I found this:

"wrongfully convicted" oh you fancy huh
Oh, and I did a fair amount of shopping, I had some birthday money.  Here are all the things I got...
Shoes: Blowfish; Skirt: Strut; Shirt: Pacsun; Earrings: Pacsun; Sunglasses: Charming Charlie
Love youuuuuu <3

best beating heart in the world

Hi friends!!  I am sad I haven't been able to post in so long especially since so many wonderful things have been happening! But happy I'm finally finding time to update again and check up on all the great posts I've been missing on the blogs I follow and to make new friends. Anyway... so I'll tell you whats been up!

Last weekend was my birthday, the 9th of April.  I had a great time, I volunteered in the morning at a children's home, kayaked in the river in the afternoon with my bests, and had a great dinner with some of my family that drove up and we had mexican food at a place called La Fiesta, it was only appropriate. Every day in my life is a partaaaay anywayz. (Btw I got some new leggings from American Apparel that are OUTTA THIS WORLD, can't wait to style them, just wait ;)! )

We had a day off last week too called Diadeloso, an all day activity and music festival.  Any day without physics class is a good day in my book!

But to important thaaaangs, clothes :)

I like to wear sweaters in hot weather.
Shoes: reformed; Leggings: American Apparel; Sweater: Express; Hat: Forever 21; Bracelets: Mexico, Pandora, Made by Me
I like this floppy hat. Until it's too floppy that you can't see my beautiful face!  I'm just kidding, floppy hats are a gift from God because they hide my polka dot pimples.

I really like the Lady Gaga Viva Glam 2 lipstick from Mac, it is my new favorite.  It is the perfect nude lipstick, it goes on so smoothly, smells like angels, and doesn't dry out my lips.  Any other lipstick brands that don't dry out lips?  I have a couple revlon and a couple loreal lipsticks, and they look okay but tend to look dry on my lips.  I wish I had a cheaper solution to my lipstick obsession (especially for colors that I won't wear as often like bright pinks and reds, but I still want them...) Any of y'all got some lipstick secrets?
rose bracelet: Made by Me; ring: mom's class ring; lydia bracelet: Mexico; leather bracelet: Pandora

Also, if you remember from my last post (I do not blame you if you forgot, since it was when dinosaurs walked the earth...) I was considering starting an Etsy store.  Well, it has happened. Etsy store! Etsy store! Etsy store! If you see stuff you like but are not really feelin' the colors, let me know that too, so I can know what peep's are lookin' for.  Also if you are international and notice on Etsy I don't send internationally but are interested in a product, message me. Thank you for the support!

I love you all and have missed you!!!!

Happy Saturdays

Howdy and happy, happy Saturday!
As usual, if you know me, I've been my normal party animal self, studying most of the day ;)
Oh, and some laundry room drama, it was solved because I took my clothes out of the washing machine for a chick who obviously has some serious life concerns about the holy process of washing clothing.
I got my roommate to snap some piccas (holla girl, you the best!)
Shorts: thrifted Express jeans, DIY cut & distress; Shirt: Charlotte Russe; Socks: Nordstrom Rack; Shoes: Texas Junk Company; Sweater: clothing swap previously <3 by Embracing your inner cupcake; Necklace: made by me

I love this sweater I found at the chic swap, it's so cozy.  Also excited because it was one of only two things I got thats tagged by a previous owner AND blogger- awesome.  Check out her blog, you'll drool thinking about cupcakes then drool thinking about how much you want her cute dresses.  A little too warm for me in this Texas weather, but I SUFFER FOR FASHION.  Just kidding.

This necklace was made by me, I made a whole bunch of stuff and I hope to soon start an Etsy shop and list it all.  This is the only cross necklace I made though, should I make more?  Should I stop eating brownies?  Both of these questions have been on my mind...

Love y'all, hope you're all smiling and loving like the sweet people you are <3
