Ooh Girl, Shock Me like an Electric Eel

Been into MGMT today while recovering from yesterday's flights, packing/unpacking/packing/unpacking stuff to go back to college, realized I still hadn't posted some pictures I took last week.
Shoes: gift from terrific boyfriend via Charlotte Russe; Top: gift from awesome boyfriend via Charlotte Russe; Dress: American Apparel
So not only did my boyfriend get me the shoes in my last post, he also got me these booties as well.  Love the off white color and the detailing around the ankle, didn't get a close enough picture to do them justice, but they'll be out again.
This gold dress I got from American Apparel has been a tough item to style, but I love it soooo much.  My usual solution to wearing it is pairing it with a top so its not just !!!BAM GOLD SPANDEX!!!

Back in Texas, back to school.  I move in later this week then classes start the next week.  Wow this summer seriously flew by!!
Love y'all

F is for Fashion

And F is for Faceplant.
I face planted in this outfit. I blame the uneven terrain but it may also be that I haven't quite learned a graceful stiletto stride yet.  A scraped knee and elbow later, here are some pictures.  I'm actually a tiny bit sad that I didn't get a picture of the fall...
Shoes: gift from boy via Charlotte Russe; Skirt: thrifted; Shirt: thrifted; Belt: thrifted; Purse: H&M
Obsessed with these shoes that were a late birthday gift from my awesome boyfriend.  I've been fantasizing about outfits I could wear with leopard booties, it is so great to finally find some I liked!  Just need to practice walking in them, a lot.
This pleated skirt I got from a thrift store for 2 dollars, super pumped for finding such a great thrifted trendy item.  I love the color, it is my absolute favorite color in the entire world, I swoooon for lavender.  Getting it, I imagined more ways of styling it but now that I have it, I don't know what to wear with it!

Can't wait to read your posts :)
Hope you're all having a really good week, and if you're not, I send you so many hugs and so much love, always.

Guess I Got My Swagga Back

My best friend of almost 8 years and I made matching tie dye shorts.
If you want to make your own, get some old white jeans, do everything in the distressed denim shorts tutorial, and tie dye them!  If you're looking for a tie dye kit, I recommend the Tulip brand tie dye kits, you can find them at Michaels, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby, and sometimes even Target.  If you're going to any craft stores, I encourage you to check out their company websites because all three give out coupons weekly that you can print out.  40% off an item will be a significant help on a $18 kit.

Loved this time with some of my best friends, Keltsey and Blake, exploring photo spots in our city and drinking smoothies.

I hope everyone is doing well, looking forward to reading your posts :)
love you and hoping you're loving today,

I Shouldn't Be Blogging Right Now...

There are a million things for me to do but I'm so anxious about getting yesterday's pictures up.  So I'm taking a break from moving stuff/junk out of my old house to get a little relaxation through blogging in.
Shoes: DIY; Shorts: thrifted DIY; Shirt: thrifted; Necklace: thrifted; Purse: H&M
Still think these shoes were one of the best DIYs I've ever done in my history of craftiness haha!  I've lost a few rhinestones here and there though :(
I'm pretty content with my little, old digital camera but whenever I wear these shoes I wish I had a nicer one, I feel like the pictures I take don't give them enough justice!
Well since I'm trying to be speedy I'll just say this is done.  I'm looking forward to going to take best friend pictures later with my best friend haha, we made matching tie dye shorts, aren't we cute?!
Love yall, can't wait to check your blogs later after I get a little more done :)

Distressed Denim DIY

I've been getting a lot of comments from girls admiring my DIY shorts, as well as friends asking me how to make them.  So I made this tutorial with some thrift store shorts I got for 3 bucks!  Warning, this post is image heavy because it is a tutorial.  Let me know if you like it and if you'd like me to do more things like this.

Hope it was helpful.  Love y'all a lot :)
